We've heard and read so many stories of men who would never have been suspected because they were "Nice, family men, who went to church (or who led it!)." But can anyone give a documented account of an previously-"out" homosexual violating a child?
Secondly: Does being a member of a church give potential criminals instant "credibility"?

I'm not convinced that NAMBLA is a legitimate organization. it sounds like it was invented by religious freaks to justify their cause. The only material I've seen with a NAMBLA header, was distributed by a religious freak (Oh my god, a known-to-the-family child molestor! Too funny!) In the rare case that NAMBLA exists, it's just full of the pedophiles we speak of (disguised as "straight" family guys), not "outed" gays.

Well, it would be rare, since most pedophiles are straight males. I agree that someone who is "out," and not suppressing or sublimating his true nature, would be less likely to commit such a heinous crime, in my opinion.
If you asked the average person, someone who attends church would go up a few notches on the credibility scale. Me, I don't buy it. I'm more interested in that person's mental state, which to me is a lot more telling about whether they would commit a sex crime or not.

Pedo is not related to homo or hetro sexuality - it is something else entirely. That a child molester might have a preference for boys or girls is not a symptom of anything consequential in itself. The taste for kids is the problem.
If someone declares her or himself gay, it is often because they have a mate, adult variety, and want to get on with life as they are.
This does not mean that no apparently normal adult of either persuasion ever violated a child. Cases no doubt exist, but I am not sure what your question is driving at.
And yes, church attendance gives credibility. I would expect that though. If one can believe in the unbelievable and unprovable,. it would be that much easier to believe mere religiosity confers morality. No burden of proof required.

I cannot provide an example of an outted gay child molester. Besides, lets be real here: Gays like other men, not kids!! Those are pedophiles.....
As for #2, I beleive that it does so. Let me tell you a little story....cant give too many details, as it is ongoing.... I am an investigator. I am currently investigating a man who is a President of a baptist church...some holy roller. KNow what he is being investigated for? CHILD PORN. I cant make that stuff up.....

No, I haven't heard of such a thing, and molesting boys doesn't mean that the pedophile is gay. It means they're a pedophile.

OK let me tell you that the majority of sexual preditor are STRAIGHT MEN. not gsy men. I have worked with molested children and 99.99999% of the time they we raped, molested or torchured by straight men. a side note to make more people mad.......a lot of time the man is a devote Christain.(goes to church, pays tithe, condemns people....)

All men who have sex with male children are homosexual.
You cannot say that a man who desires another male body (no matter the age) is not a homosexual.
So, in my experience there are TONS of them. Living on the streets as my husband did when he was a teen, that is all he encountered - EVERY DAY. Men wanting to give him 50 bucks for "this and that". Men wanting to give $50 just to watch, men seeing him walk down the road wanting to give him a ride.
As for your second question...I never heard of such a thing.
