Yah and it's because we are spoiled rich (most of us). If you go barefooted long enough then your feet can endure anything. lol just don't wear shoes for a month in winter....it's painful but your feet adapt.

We cover the tops so that people don't have to look at the ugly part of our feet. We cover the bottoms, more importantly, in case we step on broken glass, hot pavement, or dog poo. It is not a question of week - just of practical.

We just got soft not our feet. There are people in other countries that don't wear nothing on their feet. But, since they are so important in our day to day life don't you think we should take care of them?

I wouldn't say our feet are 'weak' because, really, they're not. I might say they can be sensitive.
