One of the fundamental principles of Physics states that Matter cannot be created or destroyed only transfomed.
Religious people believe in the Hypothesis of a Creator or Creators who created this Universe is it , Scientist state the theory of Big Bang.
If the Bing bang is true than at some point of time a Huge Gigantic Rock was there that busted up and led to the creation of this Universe that would imply matter having existed even before creation of this Universe
But where was a start of all matter in a certain beginning and what do you believe or what have scientist believe happens after dead
(Keep in mind Inconclusive but significant proofs of Aestral body has been found and the human Brain sends out electrical impulses even 37 hours after death)

Nobody claims that matter caused the big bang. All of the energy was already there in a perfectly balanced state of negation (quantum vacuum), like a sine wave and a cosine wave together negate each other to make a straight line. The perfect equilibrium means no space and/or time, so at that point "before" and "after" are inappropriate terms. Without space or time there's a problem with even talking about causality.

At some point that symmetry between all the different possible field states broke, and the universe emerged. Physicists are still working out the mechanics of quantum symmetry breaking. The quantum vacuum has always contained more (virtual) matter/energy than has ever been expressed in the universe - it's called zero point energy and/or virtual particles. But to ask about where it came from is to ask what was "before" space-time, which is not a coherent question.

There is evidence suggesting that our consciousness is not solely a product of our physiology (brain or otherwise), but this research is relatively new. I put a link below.

Some scientists claim that the “big bang” was just one of an infinite number of “big bangs”. The universe explodes from a hyper dense core of matter when the force of gravity draws all of the matter from the previous universe together into a mass so compact that sub-atomic particles are trying to occupy the same area of space at the same time. This results in an explosion that “creates” a new universe that expands from a central point until the force of gravity overcomes the force of outward acceleration. Then matter starts to draw back together again, and the process is repeated over and over.

According to this theory, any interjection of the statistical improbability of human life existing on planet earth, and that existence being used as evidence for the existence of God, is irrelevant because by the very nature of infinity, all possibilities will exist at one point or another in a never ending cosmic “roll of the dice”.

The theist cannot insert “God” into this argument by pointing out that “God is a possibility” because then he would be confining God to that which can be contained in the realm of the physical universe, thus making God a finite being. Instead he must point out that this theory still fails to explain how or why matter exists. Pure logic when confined to the physical universe says that nothing should exist. It is only when the scientific atheist admits that there must be some unexplained “X” factor of which he is unaware to account for the existence of matter that he can continue to support the “big bang(s)” theory. The theist will say that this “X” factor is God. The scientific atheist will say that while he doesn’t know what this “X” factor might be, it certainly isn’t “God”, but some other yet to be discovered natural phenomenon or that matter has just "always existed".

How can you argue with the huge gigantic rock theory that was busted up? It would take 4 or 5 years of science and physics classes to explain it to you. Matter and energy are the same things in different forms. Simply put energy produced the matter you see around you. If you can imagine some spiritual being living forever, why would it be so hard to imagine energy existing, changing form and laws over trillions of years?

I'm not sure how you go from big bang to what scientist believe happens after "dead". After you die you cease brain function, your personality dies and you no longer exist.

Where is there significant proof for astral body? I would like to see these studies. I'm pretty sure you can get electrical impulses from many objects which doesn't mean they have a astral body that survives death into the happy after world.

It states that ENERGY cannot be created or destroyed, therefore there really doesnt have to a very large mass, only something with a very large density and gravity. So it could have been very small, just produced a very large bang.
Also many creationists do believe that the earth was created by God, although the time between creation and us is still widely debated. So in fact some creationists believe that God created the world in stages, which could have taken millions of years. For all we know he could have created that mini super dense ball which resulted in the universe.
Pure scientists believe you feed the worms and daisys once you die. If this was the case why does 95% of the world believe something different. There is most definately a case for divine interaction in this world. Only someone ill informed would think otherwise.

Too the first part of the question, I have no clue. Perhaps we're not the originating universe, and in a another dimension, their physical matter appeared in our dimension and created the big bang. Just an interesting hypothesis. I don't know what other scientists believe after death, but I believe nothing. You revert back to your purely energy form and exist fluidly throughout space and time. No conscience thought except the fact that you do exist....
after reading these answers, and noticing one person didn't even read the question, I'm surprised not a single reference to einstien's theory death hasn't come up. I don't remember the exact equation, nor the little details about it, but I do remember that he proved that we have some kind of form after death with potential and kinetic energy. Also proved that perhaps, Earth's energy field inside itself could possibly god's "heaven". I found alot of his work quite invigorating, perhaps a good read for yourself.

No one can really say how the universe began. I do not believe it has a supreme being that just happened to show up one day. I believe more in the big bang theory. It was matter that was transformed after the bang.

We cease to exist after we die. That is the end. I do not believe in a soul that lives for an eternity. That is a long time and sounds boring.

Your point about original matter is valid. It is unknown. In our ignorance of this unknown, the default option of "god did it" is what usually gets credit. However, that is just man's imagination, and has absolutely no validity what so ever.

For you're second part, after death...the brains electrical impulses are not "matter", it is just energy stored in the form of membrane potential across the plasme membranes of neurons. Therefore, after death, matter is still niether created nor destroyed. The body is decomposed and the matter is conserved. Likewise, the potential energy stored as membrane potential, is converted as electrical impulse for up to "37 hours" (your claim). Thus, the energy is neither created nor destroyed either, merely transformed from potential energy to active impulse.

Astral bodies? Proof? Ha!

The JREF will pay anyone $1million who in a controlled scientific investigation proves such a thing.
Be the first, and collect the loot.
