Personally I can not understand why PBR seemed so good to you, but I feel the same
distain for Bud, Miller and other mainstream, watery American lagers.

However, I also cannot understand why it's difficult for you to find at present. One of the major national brands 40 years ago, and then swallowed by Heileman and left to wither, it is now being resurrected by Heileman Co,s successor and promoted and repositioned as, of all things, the beer for Starbucks-drinking music lovers, with lots of concert sponsorships and underwriting of many NPR programs and local NPR stations. If none of your local retailers have it (I think Virginia is a state where
beer is mostly sold by food and gas station chains without vast brand selections, which may be part of your difficulty) just ask them to get it.

Do they still make Pabst Blue Ribbon beer? Gee! It's been a long time since I've seen a Pabst beer.
