I wonder the same thing. I think it's just scapegoating, thrashing around for a victim and preferring to blame the poor hard working ones and defend their rich elite leaders. They don't realize that they have a much better chance of joining the ranks of the poor immigrants and zero chance of joining the ranks of their god's who allowed all this immigration in the first place.
There certainly does seem to be a disconnect between what they (immigration obsessive's) think is going on and what is acutally happening.
They probably fantasize about the ethnic cleansing that went on in Rwanda while they listen to their favorite radio talk show hosts blame the problems in America on illegal immigration while they wait for a signal that there are still illegal aliens in the streets.

It's ironic that in the immigration discusion, American's become suddenly law-abiding citizens when 2004 IRS report shows that 42.5 million U.S. CITIZENS/RESIDENTS under report or do not pay taxes. Immigrants (legal or not) will always make a great target for whatever ails the country.....history supports it....BTW, it's more than just racism at work here but rather xenophobia.......it's like a malignant cancer in this country. I was reading a news report stating that the no. of cases of bed bugs are on the increase in this country due to immigration never mind that at least 60% of people travel for their jobs with many consultants/sales people on the road 3-4 days of the week.....also, let's ignore deteriorating quality in standards at most hotel chains as well.....

heres an example, most mexican immigrants come to the US in search for a better life. They have no money and if they get sick they expect the governement to pay their hospital bills. I know about many hospitals that have clinics for immigrants and can't sustain proper revenue and need to close down. Why do spanish people insist on changing the national langauge to Spanish? They come to our nation and need to adapt! Go lookup the demographics for who gets welfare. Immigration is a big problem that this country needs to clear up.
By the way, if illegals were rich, this nation would not have a problem, but illegals coming into the US have no money and expect the wealthy american nation to support them...
