decline so I welcome all opinions and least some air their views nobody responds to my cut and dry questions but think out of the box or express a different religo-socio

Because you (and I) and every other human being is NOT good,
paul c! When will you accept that, and stop playing the "I'm a good person, and never do anything wrong or sinful game?"

If you were TRULY good, you would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and come to Him as a sinner, in need of forgiveness and mercy for all the [terrible] wrongs you have done.

John 14: 1-7 (KJV)
Jesus speaking:

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him."

Just because YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD . It does not mean that others should not. You may think he's a fantasy, but not everyone does. Everyone believes for a reason just as you have your reasons for NOT believing.

It's what makes the world go around. We are all unique in our own special ways and everyone should respect that.

Why on earth are you even considering a substitute for God?

I am a substitute, teacher that is.

There is no such thing as a substitute for God.

Do good.

Possibly the question here is why on earth not do good?

Funny though, that Christianity is one of the oldest systems still thriving. You'd think if it was really a hoax the game would have been up hundreds of years ago! Things that really don't work, don't last this long!

God is the safety blanket that that the truly strong hide behind when they realise they are weak and nothing else. Besides, If I an living a lie, than I am happy living that "lie" and you don't have to be.

Faith works, but it needs to be constantly deepened and refined and criticized. Faith has transformed humanity. The concept of "human rights" derives from Judeo-Christian faith.

Also, without God, i.e., without a transcendent grounding, it's impossible for us to hold on to our perception of the good. Without God, everything is permissible, remember?

Quit trying to force your beliefs down my throat. You're no better than the people you are trying to bash.

If you could prove to me that there is no God, I would still live this way because it works.

IMHO, your thinking defines delusion.
