Athiests what do you think about life and point of it?

Question

If i was an athiest I would think what is the point of life and the universe?
Who cares if we die because we die anyway why would it matter if it was today or tommorow?
Life would feel so pointless and mechanical and just a means to it's own ends. We would just be biological machines that just do stuff that has no significance.
I would be stuck on this rock in space and the universe wouldn't care one way or the other.
Life would be...... so what! I die and I ain't going know I even ever existed be like it never happened.
Other people may benefit but life on Earth and universe will come to an end one day in the athiest view of demise and it won't matter squat what we did it will all be gone.

If I was an Athiest, which means I don't believe in Religion why would I be answering questions about Religion?

Atheism doesn't effect the current life, but the afterlife my friend.

This way, it gives you a better understanding of how precious life is, because, if you're lucky, you have only 80 years here and you might as well make the most of it. You don't have to be all "Oh what will God think of this decision..."

Life is pointless, we're not supposed to be here. It's all a freak accident, but we're here anyway.

That's your perspective, I guess. It's not mine. Actually, I think you ought to respect us Atheists a little bit more. If we're nice, polite and helpful, that is (I'm not asking you to admire Atheist jerks, and there are a few here on Answers I'm sad to say). Because we don't think we're going to heaven for being nice, and we'll die just the same. To be good when you don't have to – that's great karma.

I just live life to the fullest. I do not worry about it. Life is not pointless. We are here to try to help each other when possible and try to get along. Simple as that.
