savior and prividor that looks out for your spiritual needs. You cant touch God but he can touch you, You cant see God unless you know how and were to look, You cant feel God unless you let him into your life. God is not going to make it so you dont get a parking ticket nor is he going to butt into your daily life but he just might help you to understand a critical situation or give the insight you need to pass through a troubling time in your life. Its hard to explain the gentle non invasive way that God helps us unless you can look past the obvious and see the big picture. Example: You lock your car keys in the house and cannot get into your car to drive to work. Just about the time you would have been pulling out of your driveway if you had had your keys another car comes flying past music blairing totally unaware of you. Is this blind luck or divine intervention? What if similiar situations happen to you on a regular basis is it still luck? Look past the obvious.

Very well said, tau.I agree with you 100%.I have an example of my own. My mother was recently diagnosed with Chronic Heart Failure. She had to undergo heart catheterization to see what could be causing the weaknesses in her heart. She was scheduled for this procedure at 7:00 a.m.,but due to an emergency with another patient,it took 4 hours before her surgery was finally performed. We(the family) were very upset at the long delay, but the time finally came for it to get done. The surgery went well. The docs found no blockages, and determined that medications would be the answer to strenghthen her heart.Mom was taken to the recovery room, where 10 minutes later, she went into cardiac arrest. The docs were able to bring her back, but later on, the doc explained that she was very lucky to have been in the hospital at the time.If it wouldn't have been for the long delay,Mom's surgery would have already been done, and she would have been on her way home, where she would have gone into cardiac arrest and died.God saw this coming, and had it planned that she would be at the right place at the right time.It was going to happen either way. The docs then decided to put in a defibrilllator,in case this should happen again.2 months later,Mom's defib stopped working, and once again, she had to have another surgry to replace it. Being human,we asked God why should she have to go through this again. We soon got our answer. While Mom was in the hospital this time, she started getting pain in her right side. Many tests were done, and we found out that she now has liver cancer. If her defibrillator hadn't malfunctioned, the cancer wouldn't have been found until it was too late to treat. These are not coincidences. God,in His infinite wisdom, intervened to make sure my Mom got the proper care that she needed when she needed it.He doesn't promise us an easy life, but He does promise to always be there when we need Him.This is my Mom's third bout with cancer, and God has taken care of her each time, and gotten her through it.Her faith, and our faith in God is unwavering.
I believe God also intervenes on many occasions for the unbelievers also. They just need to open their eyes and see it for what it is.

If such a perfect and loving god were real, he would never let anyone doubt his existence or his love. He wouldn't play games by saying "okay, here's your free will -- either be a blind fool and convince yourself of this impossibility of reason and or I'll send you to eternal hellfire".
Honey, if there were *really* a god like that almighty, loving deity you describe, "he" would leave no room for doubt; there could be no atheists if such a god were genuine.
Such a god as described by adoring Christians would be here and now and known to all, beyond doubt; he would have his own cable channel, his own talk show.
He would not be giving mixed messages to dozens of churches that disagree with each other, who all claim to know the "truth".
A god like you describe would actually speak to us, in a strong and clear voice just like yours or mine; he would give advice in spoken languages, he would offer comfort to the sick and the grieving outright, he would communicate openly and clearly, in words that could never be poorly translated, corrputed or misunderstood.

God can touch me? Dirty old man...
What good is God if I still get parking tickets?
And the divine intervention in your last example entirely depends on what kind of music the other car is blaring. I mean if it's blaring 'How Great Thou Art', that might just be the Devil's hand, mightn't it?

We all are seeing reality though our own level of maturity. Some of us are arrested at lower levels and get our needs met immaturely. It is up to each of us individually to discover what level we are stuck at and learn why.
Enough said.

I think too many people think that prayers should be answered exactly as we believe they should be answered. Many times the best thing that can possibly happen to a person is neither wanted nor comfortable.

Why don't you give your delusion a rest and try making contact with the real world to see what you've been missing.

I believe in synchronicity. One does not need to follow Christianity to have faith. People of other faiths feel the things you describe.
