No it's not!!
A body needs a certain amount of everything to be healthy. You need protein, starches, sugars, fats to keep your metabolism running smoothly.
Please tell your friend she needs a balance. Fruits & vegies are good 'fillers', but she needs the rest to keep her skin soft and her hair shiny.
If she wants to lose weight, she should walk a little more, eat smaller portions, and not deprive herself of some 'junk food' from time to time. Starving your body for the nutrients it needs makes it malfunction. (If her 'cycles' get irregular, have her see her Dr. immediately!)
Tell her not to stress about her weight and she'll find it's easier to lose.

I'm not a nutritionist or anything but I know that is not the proper way to go about losing weight. Your body needs a variety of different foods. It sounds like she is just looking for a "quick fix" and there is no such thing. If she is just planning to eat fruits and vegetables until she reaches her ideal weight, chances are she is going to gain the weight back. The best thing for her to do is eat a variety of different foods from all four food groups, drink plenty of water, and participate in some kind of physical activity on a regular basis.
I wish her the best! And you are a good friend for being concerned.

Fruits and vegetables diet is concidered cleansing for your body but only for a few weeks at a time.. Soda is not included on that list of foods. One can of soda a day can lead to a 15lb weight gain over one year. Tell her Water, water, water

So basically her diet consists of sugar, sugar, and sugar. No wonder she's not losing weight. Get some protein and water in there and stop chugging the sodas. This includes diet sodas because they are so high in sodium and the artificial sweeteners are not at all good for anyone. Did it ever occur to her that maybe she needs to get some exercise?

nope because you will be lacking certain proteins that can only be gotten from meats and vitamins from grain. and plus if she is involved in strenous exercise she will need a amount of fat and carbs. have you noitced that some vegetarians are always frail and weak. because they lack proteins to build mucle and calcium for bone growth and strength. the pizza was so good because it replaced nutirents that she was lacking. just water isnt good untill you are thristy. and when you are thristy that means you are already dehyrated. she has to monitor how mamy calories she take and burn. and ajust her diet accordingly, not just luttice and water everyday.

no , she can lose weight by eating what she wants but in SMALL portions- and if she feels the need to eat- tell her to drink water--
water cleans out the system better than fad diets,-- salads are good also but you can gain wieght if you tooo much-- the trick , again is to eat small portions of whatever -- try it with some exercise-- like pace walking or lite jobbing

No, you need a little of everything... carbs (fruits and veggies) need proteins (meat, legumes, nuts) to process and vice a versa. Portion size is what she should be concerned with, and empty carbs... too much sugars and greasy fats and over processed foods.

No, not bad. It will definitely make her feel better. Only thing she needs to do is eat some nuts or beans to get some protein.
Other then that she will be just fine. Vegetarians do it all the time.

No, she needs protein. Her teeth and bones will suffer if she continues to eat this way. She is ruining her health.
