I mean let's take the 10th it says "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, house, donkey, or anything else they own"

Why not just say "Thou shalt not covet anything of your neighbor's"

Moses's second tablet was a bit bigger than the first and he had extra space down there in the corner. He needed to flesh it out, because the tablet would have looked empty and lopsided otherwise.

I figure God just should have put a big flowing signature there instead, but I guess he's not that ostentatious...

The guilt of it was probably rampant in the congregation of Israelites. Not that they felt anything about it. They were a rather rebellious bunch. Read on and see how they doubted God at every turn.

Anything to do with possessions have to be specified. The commandment you modified is a little too general cos what your neighbor has may not be his...could be borrowed...whatever he has is legal tender enough to be verified as his....
