Combination of stress and anxiety. Also pent up anger can cause a person to grind their teeth when sleeping.

The best way to help with the damage ot the teeth, is to get a mouth guard from your dentist.

Apparently stress. My dentist says I have ground my incisors down so bad that they look like all my other teeth and they are no longer holding my jaw in alignment which causes my headaches! My father grinds his teeth but we are both very stressed out people.
