Ya know it's sad -- that old protestant prejudice about Catholics worshiping Mary or placing her at the same level as Jesus is still around. During the famine in Ireland more than a century ago, many Irish immigrated to the US. Seeing the rapid influx of Irish people, the citizens used that rumor as part of their rationalization of their self-righteous bigotry. It appears that many are still too lazy, gullible or weak-minded to actually look at what they perpetuate.

That is so true we do not hold mary or ANY other saint on the same level as GOD. That is just nonsense and just is soooo not true. Well let me start off by knocking out misconceptions we only worship GOD. We pray to saints to pray for us or intercede with GOD for us. We do not pray to statues. We look at statues ad rememberences of the saints and of jesus and what how he gave his life for us. We don't really talk to other denominations like that because in the bible Jesus said he wanted no division in the church. Jesus told Peter(pbuh) to lead his(jesus) church and to start it. If jesus said he wanted no division then why would you not be a catholic if that is the church peter started? and to every denomination and religion like Islam the bible says in Galatians 1:6-9 Apostle Paul(pbuh) says "I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Christ for a different religion. But even if an angel from heaven, should preach to you a different religion, let him be accursed". That sums up Islam because the angel gabriel was supposed to have came to the prophet muhammed(pbuh) in the desert and told him something completely different from the bible. In the bible it says if someone says something different from what the bible says then they are wrong. Wow I think that sums it up. I know in the past catholics have done alot of things that are horribly wrong but so did Jews and God stayed with them and blessed them. We go through things in life and hardships and the church is no different. We have issued apologizes in the past and we have open arms to anyone who want to come back to the offical church of GOD. From the abuse of power to making money off of the poor and everything else. The priests that molest little boys do that on their own, that is nasty and they do not do it in the name of GOD or the religion. They also need to be punished for that. No catholic supports that in ANY way. So if you are considering becoming catholic you should do it for yourself. We ARE the church Jesus started through Peter(pbuh) and I think people should come back and give us a chance. GOD bless.
