Any evolutionary, behavioral reasons?
Both my dogs LOVE to get on the beds and roll on them...

Because dog's instinct is to den when sleeping. Your bed reaks of your smell that he loves because he associates it with you. He sees you as part of his pack and sees the bed as your den and wants to be a part of the pack in the den. It's up to you if you want him there or not.

Your scent is very strong there. You might not smell it, but to your dog's sensitive nose it's odor heaven!
Have you ever noticed that when you give a dog a bath it loves to roll on stuff and if you let it outside it will find the smelliest stuff it can to roll in? That's because a dog is a hunter and it doesn't want it's prey to smell it coming so it tries to disquise it's scent.

Dog always learns from the surronding and by seeing and observing various activities on the bed it will always try to jump and enjoy as we all do in bed

if you had your dogs up on the bed when they were puppies, they feel it's part of their territory, and they smell your scent..once a pet is allowed a certain behavior, it's hard to break it, isn't it?
