Partner, but can it be disrespectful ie. turning your head, looking more than a glance or staring and the frequency of looks. I have seen where one partner looks at almost every person that walks past them (to me that is checking them out) is that ok, a look is a look, or is there a point when it becomes disrespectful to the other partner. at what point does it become disrespectful, if at all?

Hey! Well this is difficult because it really depends on you feel about it. I think it's normal to look at other people when you are dating someone. You can't really deny it because everyone does it especiallu guys. I think it can become annoying if you trying to have a conversation with your partner anbd they are not paying attention because they are being distract by some hot woman. But it happens. I only think it becomes disrespectful when they actually try to talk to the other person stare for 20 mins. and begin to drool and make comments. other than that you should confident that they are dating YOU because they want to be with YOU.

It becomes disrespectful if you see them eye balling it a little to much. But not for nothing I would be pretty pissed if I'm with my man and he is looking at other women while I'm walking with him. That is something that should be done on his own time like when he is with his boyz. But if he were to look then it better not be a look that will give his a** away. But as long as a guy isn't braking his neck to see what's walking past with his damn tongue hanging it's not to bad of a thing. Men are men they look just like women look it's in our nature. But there are ways to go about it that aren't disrespectful to our spouses.

A look is just a look, and nothing more. If the issue is a concern, you lack self-confidence, within yourself, and will be expressed in lack of trust. Those two elements combined will only tear down a relationship rather than enhance it. Consider how you feel, when one of the opposite sex looks at you, I'm sure it makes you feel good about yourself, why should it be any different for your partner. We all need to feel good about ourselves. Believe in yourself and reveal the confidence you have in you and in your relationship. That is very appealing to any partner. Hope that helps.

Well, some people just like to "people watch" (like me) and will look at anyone walking by. When my hunny checks out other girls when I'm with him, I make a joke out of it. That way, I'm not nagging, but he is aware that I know he is looking and he tends to keep it at a minimum.

For example, last Friday night at a concert, this chick walked by with a shirt that basically had no back to it at all. She looked pretty good in it too (I was even checking her out). He looked a little too long and I jokingly said, "All right now, that's a good enough look!" We both laughed it off and that was that.

There is a fine line. Yes, there is a point where it becomes disrespectful and you nailed that right on the head in your question.

that fine line does exist...MAYBE an extremely short look, to see the person in question, but don't stare...it's not nice to stare ANYWAY, let alone when you're with your significant other. some partners can be so jealous and paranoid that if you so much as 'glance', they'll give you a flogging haha!

its ok when your partner is going home to your bed. a look is a look not a touch and gain some confidence in yourself when this happens cause if the person they were looking at was hot and they r still walking holding your hand damn thats some props for u.

everyone looks but it should only be a glance--looking doesn't mean acting on it..

if your partner thinks it's disrespectful, it's too long; if he or she says they don't look, they are not telling the truth

Checking out everyone of the opposite sex? NO!
It is rude to look at others, especially the opposite sex, when you are with your partner. It means you are not paying attention to your partner. Moreover, why is it necessary to check out others? Are you not satisfied to be with your partner? Are you looking for greener pastures?

It is OK to look, but when your with your partner, it could make them jealous or even hurt them emotionally. I wouldn't check out another guy if I was with my partner because I love and respect him and don't want to hurt him.
