Crab meat is a good source of protein, B vitamins, and minerals such as phosphorus, zinc, copper, calcium, magnesium, selenium and iron.

Crab meat is somewhat high in cholesterol, with a 3-oz serving (and who eats that little?) having nearly one quarter of the recommended daily allowance. But recent research has even vindicated eggs as not being as dangerous as was once thought. It seems to be saturated fat that makes cholesterol particularly dangerous, not the existence of cholesterol alone, and crab has no saturated fat to speak of.

Crab meat not kept properly refrigerated poses the risk of botulism poisoning, which can cause illness or even death.
Crab meat is an excellent source of high quality protein, vitamins, and minerals that are needed for good nutrition. Crab meat is an excellent source of phosphorus, zinc, copper, calcium, and iron and is very low in fat, especially saturated fat
Crab meat is also somewhat high in cholesterol which can also raise your blood cholesterol level. Most major health organizations, such as the American Heart Association, recommend a daily limit of 300mg. It is important to note that saturated fatty acids are the chief culprit in raising blood cholesterol levels and that crab meat is very low in fat, and especially low in saturated fat. Consult your doctor or dietitian if you are on a very restricted diet.
But now do you know something we do not know about it
