Low Self Esteem...feeling unworthy, useless, loss of dignity,
feeling of self worth ....these usually happen when Maslows Heirarchy of Needs are not implemented to an individual, without these needs.. PHYSCIOLOGICAL(BIOLOGICAL NEEDS)..SAFETY..LOVE/BELONGING...STATUS (ESTEEM)...
ACTUALISATION...Its not a Mental Illness. So once all the needs are given self esteem returns.

well, every mental scientician gotta hand it to me on this one, all the mental disorders, i.e. depression, extreme elation, phobias, nervousness, and plain stupidity, and retardedness, originates from the depletion of amino acids, any of the B vitamin group, particularly biotin and inositol and key neurotransmitters. it starts of as an anomalous feeling of being 'different', then depression and self-loathing occurs, coupled with low-self-esteem, its a recipe for disaster, but sure enough , diet may not be the only cause, if so keep on searching

i think it causes a lot of negative attention toward yourself.
it is a day to day step. a good start is too change how you talk to yourself in your mind. how you talk and think is what you start to believe about yourself.
use positive affirmation when you wake up and when you go to sleep. here are some examples: i am beautiful, i love myself now, i am self confident. train your mind to believe new good things about yourself.
love yourself now no matter what. add some excercises every week. pray to God to help you on this goal.
be patient with yourself. we all have low self esteem in some areas.
:)

you can cure it by looking yourself in the mirror everyday and saying "i am the greatest human being in the world, tremble before the awesome wrath of _____" whatever your name is i do that every morning and i must say i feel great low self esteem eh we're all created equal in the eyes of god you just need some pride like and exercising more would help your moods.

Sounds like depression. Yes a combination of therapy and anti-depressants are very effective. The person should see their Dr and start a program for getting out of depression. It is effective. Exersize is usually recommended also and healthy diet of course! Good luck!

Yes it does. With low self-esteem, you'll say I can't do this, or I can't do that.
