I mean--why isn't it plum juice? There is no raisin juice, just grape. Even just from a marketing standpoint--plum juice sounds yummy. Prune juice sounds like intestinal difficulty and advanced old age.

Prunes are dried plums. They change flavor - some would say for the better - when they are dried. Think of big raisins.

Prune juice is juice made from Prunes. You are correct about it having something to do with the intestinal tract but not necessarily related to old age. Prune helps keep you from being constipated, young or old. If you have ever tasted prune juice, it is not so bad. I personally don't care for it too much myself, but they do have a new product out for Plum Juice. Try it. You are so cute and funny.

Grape juice comes from grapes, not raisins. Prune juice comes from Prunes. Plum juice comes from Plums. Prune Juice is not Plum juice and vice versa.

Prunes are actually juicy. And if they aren't, you add water to them to make more juice.
