NO. You should never double your dose of any medication because of your weight. Your doctor already takes that into consideration when they perscribe a medication to you. Dont be stupid and try to play pharmicist.

Most medications are worked through the digestive system and release their ability to heal whatever you're taking them for in the Intestines. It has nothing what so ever to do with weight (unless it specifically says so)

You take the recommended dose always! which is recommended, for a reason.

Only with children does this rule apply and it is by weight so as not to give them too much. Children assimilate medication differently before the ages of both 6 and 12

no..it is never safe to double a dose of anything...in the case of medications...more is not always better....the best thing you can do is talk to your pharmacist and ask him the kg/mg ratio to this medication. If you do not feel comfy doing that or calling your doc check out this site....http://www.drugs.com/....find the mg/kg dosage. then go to this chart and convert it to find the perfect dose for you...http://home.sc.rr.com/nurdosagecal/Dose%20by%20Weight.htm...typically its best to stick to the recommended dosage unless otherwise advised by your gp.
