What do you mean by "so many". Do you mean as a percentage as compared to the rest of the male population? I don't think that there is a higher percentage among priests but even if there is then I would have to suggest that it's because pedophiles seek employment in places of trust where they can have access to children. It's a terrible shame that these people seek victims instead of help and they need our prayers.

I wonder this too. But the Bible even describe sexually immortality as a problem...Therefor it is better to marry than to burn. Meaning ,if you can't live without sex you should marry into a covenant that allows it. In my opinion, I think these people may have fallen and started having these desires. But because of their position, they keep it secret and take advantage of these poor little boys. Let's face it...In this day and time, it's hard for even the saved to live without sex forever. I wouldnt volunteer unless God really put that burden on my heart.

Well the reason there are so many is probably because one of the people that most people trust is their priest. SO those sick HORNY BASTARDS think that they will get away with it. But it just goes to show you you can still be caught even if your a priest.
