Any food can make you fat.

Carbonated drinks don't necessarily make you fat, but they often contain all sorts of chemicals that are bad for you, and any non-diet carbonated drink contains high fructose corn syrup, which is a very concentrated sugar delivery system. And that CAN make you fat.

As for spicy foods - spice alone doesn't make you husky. It's all in the quantity and whether or not you exercise enough to burn that food off.

As is the key with anything you consume - you should do it in moderation. Just make sure you work off what you eat and you'll be okay!
