Wait and tell him to his face. Don't get involved with anyone else beforehand either. A little time will solve everything.

Do it face to face. A letter or phone call would signify that you're kinda scared to tell him. (if you are, then do it that way) Plus, if it were you and you were away on business, that would ruin your trip if your man called you to tell you it's over. Let him handle his business and get with him when he comes home. What's the rush...??? Wait for him to get back. And don't do it cold or with an attitude. Just tell him how you feel and why you're doing it. Be strong and don't let him sweet talk you out of it. If you're sure you want to do this, then do it. Take the time that he is away to really think about what you're going to say. Good luck sweetie... : )

I would say face to face, because then it can remove all doubt. I wouldn't let him think eveyrthing is all fine and dandy though when coming home. If you do it face to face you can actually talk about it, but in a letter or phone conversation there can be a feeling of maybe there is still a chance.

Besides a man can respect somthing like taht. People want the truth brutally and honestly. hell ya it'll hurt but you know what its going to begin the healing process much quicker.

if that's the case and you can't do it face to face
it maybe a sign the phone would be fine, it might be better to write a letter just to document time, date, and place......sorry I think it would depend on the seriousness of your relationship, how long you have been together. Sounds like there is a few factors to this equation

Sorry, I'm a woman.
I can't help noticing you have an issue with him not spending enough quality time with you. This is something you need to talk about. It would be better to talk face to face, but I guess you could bring up the issue over the phone.

Do it by phone if you can't do it face to face. Although face to face is really the only way you should do it cause any other way is a cowards way. But I understand certain circumstances will not allow a face to face confrontation.

If he's never around do it over the phone or email. If he was accessable though you really should do it face to face if you respected him but in the circumstances you mention it's ok

I dunno..It has never happened to me...

I am still seeing the same 52 girls that I've been going out with like forever!!!

But seriously..

Face to Face is the only right way to do it...everything else is just plain rude...

Face To Face, be honest and to the point. No BS, and do not lead him on, or hopes of a relationship in the future.
