It is possible. If you get an instant quote, such as progressive.com, esurance.com, 21st.com, among others, they usually will not call you, they will just give you a quote number online. However, if you go to a website and they say to allow usually 48hrs for your quote to process, that is when you will be called by an agent who will try to push a sale.

geico.com tells you quotes from many other companies and you only have to enter the info once. When I was shopping, I went to the websites of all the big companies and did individual quotes online and choose the policy I wanted- did everything online.

Don't trust those sites that tout multiple quotes! Their quote will almost always be the best. Many of them are not beneath quoting a mid-range price for their product and an assigned-risk price for a competitor.
