No, the word bible does not appear in the King James Version of the Bible. It might in other versions, I don't know. Bible means "books" or "a group of works" in Greek and thus could be found wherever the word "books" appears in the bible. It is all just a translation issue.

Are you extreme? The bible is God's observe or notwithstanding and once you're asserting "nicely do not purely study that reason it won't make sense study the student's writing too" then you certainly're asserting the bible won't make sense and you mustn't could desire to study any student's writing's to understand the bible. The bible is meant to be the words to stay via and in case you're able to desire to added know it with pupils writing's then you certainly be responsive to on your coronary heart the bible is organic crap.

Christianity likes to think it is more important than other stuff and so the generic term "bible" meaning book became the title of the book in much the same way as the generic term "god" meaning deity became "God".

I did a keyword search of 5 different versions of the bible (KJV, NKJV, NIV, THE MESSAGE, and NEW AMERICAN STANDARD BIBLE)at www.biblegateway.com using the word "bible" and got 6 results...all from The Message.
Psalm 50:4
The Message (MSG)
He summons heaven and earth as a jury, he's taking his people to court: "Round up my saints who swore on the Bible their loyalty to me."
Psalm 50:3-5 (in Context) Psalm 50 (Whole Chapter)
Matthew 7:26
The Message (MSG)
"But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life, you are like a stupid carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach. When a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsed like a house of cards."
Matthew 7:25-27 (in Context) Matthew 7 (Whole Chapter)
Matthew 19:4
The Message (MSG)
He answered, "Haven't you read in your Bible that the Creator originally made man and woman for each other, male and female? And because of this, a man leaves father and mother and is firmly bonded to his wife, becoming one flesh—no longer two bodies but one. Because God created this organic union of the two sexes, no one should desecrate his art by cutting them apart."
Matthew 19:3-5 (in Context) Matthew 19 (Whole Chapter)
Matthew 23:16
The Message (MSG)
"You're hopeless! What arrogant stupidity! You say, 'If someone makes a promise with his fingers crossed, that's nothing; but if he swears with his hand on the Bible, that's serious.' What ignorance! Does the leather on the Bible carry more weight than the skin on your hands? And what about this piece of trivia: 'If you shake hands on a promise, that's nothing; but if you raise your hand that God is your witness, that's serious'? What ridiculous hairsplitting! What difference does it make whether you shake hands or raise hands? A promise is a promise. What difference does it make if you make your promise inside or outside a house of worship? A promise is a promise. God is present, watching and holding you to account regardless.
Matthew 23:15-17 (in Context) Matthew 23 (Whole Chapter)
Mark 12:24
The Message (MSG)
Jesus said, "You're way off base, and here's why: One, you don't know your Bibles; two, you don't know how God works. After the dead are raised up, we're past the marriage business. As it is with angels now, all our ecstasies and intimacies then will be with God. And regarding the dead, whether or not they are raised, don't you ever read the Bible? How God at the bush said to Moses, 'I am—not was—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? The living God is God of the living, not the dead. You're way, way off base."
Mark 12:23-25 (in Context) Mark 12 (Whole Chapter)
Luke 6:48
The Message (MSG)
"If you work the words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who dug deep and laid the foundation of his house on bedrock. When the river burst its banks and crashed against the house, nothing could shake it; it was built to last. But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life, you are like a dumb carpenter who built a house but skipped the foundation. When the swollen river came crashing in, it collapsed like a house of cards. It was a total loss."
Luke 6:47-49 (in Context) Luke 6 (Whole Chapter)
The site contains information on and from many different bible versions. Whenever I read Scripture from my NKJV, I also see how it is translated in The Message.
