Wi-Fi means wireless internet. As in the wireless connection between a laptop and an access point. The abbreviation technically doesnt stand for anything. A common misnomer is that this stands for wireless fidelity, but its more a play on words.
Hi-Fi stands for high fidelity and usually refers to stereos and VCRs. The term has less meaning these days than it used to, but generally it means a higher quality audio signal.
