There is a chocolate wafer sold in the cookie section of the grocery stores if you are looking for something without creme filling. I just finished a box but can't for the life of me remember their name.

to follow up:
I just found them and they are Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers. They are still making these.

When did Nabisco stop making oreo crumbs? I bought some yesterday! That's crazy!
But you can always buy chocolate wafer cookies and crush them instead. Won't be quite as rich as real oreo, but they don't crush too well cause of the filling.
I've used the rectangular chocolate cookies they sell to make ice cream sandwiches with, that worked really well actually. Pretty close to the oreo taste.

I agree with the poster who says to buy the Nabisco chocolate wafers and crush them up for baking. When I need a chocolate crust, I always just make crumbs out of these in my food processor.

This is quite simple. Get a bag of Oreo cookies, spread them out in a single layer on a cutting board and roll over them with a marble rolling pin. Marble is heavy enough to make a fine powder consistency.

I have no idea what you are talking about, and for that matter what I am talking about...

But why don't you just smash up Oreo cookies - or don't they crumb well, if that makes sense.

This probably would work. Get a chocolate crumb pie shell at the grocery, the kind that's pre-formed and comes in its own aluminum pan (look in baking section next to the graham cracker crumb pie shells). Try crushing it up.

The way to crumble Oreo Cookies is to freeze them and then crumble them. The Oreo middle will freeze they crumble just like the cookie.
