Because some people believe being a brown noser is cool. However, there are some advantages to this and some disadvantages. You spend over 8 hours of your day in the work place, it also your source of income. You would want to secure your career as much as possible right? Well some people need to make sure their job is secure and climb the ladder, no matter what it takes. Me personally, I treat everyone equally. But some people believe sucking up will get you somewhere and the sad thing is, most of the time, it does eventhough you would be known as the office kiss @ss. Most people don't care becuase they will be the ones with the empolyee of the month parking spot and not you.

You suck up to the boss, you get him/her to like you, you get promoted. In that order. I have had jobs where I would work harder than anyone else because I thought that would get me somewhere, only to find out that the people that weren't necesarrily good workers but always seem to get on the boss' good side were the ones to move up. It sucks but that's how it works.

Everybody has their own reasons for doing it....
To be accepted, to fit in, to cover up nervousness...etc.
It happens here at my work and I can't stand being around all these catty backstabbing b*tches. Makes me want to vomit...they are nice to your face and don't even wait for you to get out of earshot before they start talking s**t. And what's even worse is they talk to you like you are ignorant.....

It's called "playing the game" and your life will be so much easier if you just go along with it and join in. You don't have to believe in it....just think to yourself how stupid these people are every time you smile at them.

work is just a phony place. many people do it to get where they want to be in the workplace. me myself i dont give a flyin f**k about them people. i just work for my 8 hours and take my a s s home!!!!!!!!!!
