Yes, I started homeschooling our 22 yr old son when he was in 8th grade. He had been a A student but when he stared jr.high, he started doing poorly, so we took him out of the public school & homeschooled hime. He graduated at 16 with a 4.0 grade average & then went to college & got a 4 yr degree in engenionering in only 3 yrs.
Homeschooling is great.
We are now getting ready to homeschool a 5 yr old. Having been through the public school system with our 4 older children (all grown & married) we have chosen not to even start our little girl in the public system, nor our 2 1/2 yr old when its time for her.
They get so much more at home.

As a side note, thanks for the info you sent on my question.

I've heard good things about these programs. They're K-12.

Imagine Academy, The Jubilee Academy, The Grace Academy, and The MorningStar Academy are all great programs. Imagine offers individual courses, Jubilee offers full online homeschooling curriculum, Grace offers full teacher-supported online homeschooling curriculum, and MorningStar is an online private school.

Yup...It is called home schooling---An ongoing type of instruction in which the student is being taught outside any school district by an instructor who is not acting in behalf of a school district.

Yes, it's called home schooling. Some friends of ours did it with their daughter. She's pretty damn smart. I think this thing works!

yes. it is called homeschooling. however, i find it quite funny that the person who homeschools does not need to be a teacher or even have graduated high school. but if it is something you are thinking about, think about your child not having friends or other school activities that normally school children experience.
