I have to wonder if you've actually taken the time to get to know any "kids". I live in a neighborhood that's full of school age children and not once this summer has one of them bothered me. I love seeing them play, I don't mind hearing them laugh and when my own son (14) goes to school on Tuesday, I'll be very sad. I love having him home and the summers are a precious but short time.

Crime rates won't go down when school starts. The very small percentage of kids who steal and vandalize will continue to do so, often because the adults in their life haven't provided them with the nurturing and support they need.

If you look for the worst in people, you're sure to find it... luckily, the same is true for the reverse. :-)

Where do you live that you would feel safer when the kids are back at school. I think we have more to worry about when they are gone.

No. Now we as parents have to really have to worry about the sexual predators lingering around the school yard. The ones who follow your kids to and from school. It's just sickening for any man or woman to look at and want a child that way.

the crime is never going to go down its only going to get worst, and if you read the bible it fortells this, math 24:7,8 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. there many other scriptures that tell us of this world getting worst bec. in the jesus said this would happened before god steps in and get rid of all the crime we see today and we will live in a peaceful world.
