Yes, you must have a DVD viewing software to view any movies. Such as windvd.
I do hope you are paying for the movies though, because if your not, it is illegal and you can get in trouble. Just watch the news. Also if they're not paid for, then it means your downloading them from limewire or another like it and you can very well infect your computer with a virus.
Which is why in the long run, it's better to pay a few dollars and rent the movie.

I think the last movie I watched was Martyrs. It was a decent story but dragged on through a lot of parts. It gave me a creepy feeling for a day or two. It's about this girl who was kidnapped and tortured as a child. She escapes but no one knows who her captors are. As an adult she's convinced she's found them and returns to kill them. Then the story switches over to her friend, who is there to look after her and clean up her mess. The movie was slow paced with some violent scenes now and again. I had not seen the movie before, and did not know what to expect.

the best media player for movies is VLC media player...this will play almost anything...doesnt look the best, like WMP...but it gets the job done very well!!!!
