There are loads of great curry houses in London - you'll just have to shop around 'til you find some you like.

I work in Farringdon and can hightly recoment the Raj (right outside Farringdon Tube) or the Smithfield Tandoori (on Lyndsey Street at the rear of Barbican Station)

Hiya

This may be a lil late but if you want an affordable yet amazing restaurant,

try:

http://www.haandi-restaurants.com/menu.htm - Haandi restaurant at Knightsbridge

it's unique, good, clean.. and one of the most visited restaurants by Indians themselves - which is rare.. they make tasty food that's genuine and lightly spiced

the budget is also pretty good, not too pricey at all.

Theres one on the edgware road going for £350k plus goodwill but you will have to get your own waiters

I assume by decor you mean the bloke who stands outside and decs trouble makers (bouncer in fact) and as you are probably aware not many are nice however the current incumbant would be happy to keep his job and is lovely
