BASIC is a simple computer language, invented in the early 1970s. It is (or was - not used much today) used to create programs that run in DOS, not Windows.

Q-Basic was a version of the Basic language created by Microsoft and shipped with early versions of Windows.

Today, it has been replaced by VisualBasic, which allows you to create create programs that run in Windows. It is not included with Windows, you have to purchase it separately.
