Here are my 4 favorite weekend get aways
1. Solomon's Island

It's a quaint little seaside village where the Patuxent River meets the Chesapeake Bay. There are sunset boat cruises, interesting shops, a museum and old lighthouse, boats to rent, and the best seafood restaurants in MD (my opinion). Stay at any of the great Bed and Breakfasts. You'll love it!
2. St. Michael's
http://www.stmichaelsmd.org/
It's a lovely very quaint seaside village, and has great shops, B and B's, The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, rental boats, and awesome seafood restaurants. This is great too!
3.Annapolis
http://www.ci.annapolis.md.us/
Maryland's Historic capital. Lots to do and see, and great restaurants, shops, and B&B's. Another winner
There are a lot more, but these 2 are a good starting point.
Have a great weekend!

It depends on what you like to do. There are many possible places but I suggest Western Maryland. Many activities and very quiet places to choose from at an affordable price.

Maryland is huge - the coast is quite nice, or you can take a trip to Baltimore.
