Yes I would start now, but don't be too hard on him with it. My daughter did that then when I started putting her on the potty she just wanted to play and didn't really understand. Then I had to stop for a while. Now after 6 months she's interested in it again but this time she doesn't tell me when she needs to go I just put her on before and after a nap and when she goes to bed/gets up. And every hour when she's up I put her on the potty. And it's working! So good luck! :)

yes - my son started at about 18 mths. He will still not be fully potty trained for sometime. He is not able to tell yet when he has to poop ahead of time. I am have trouble with that area with my son now (he 2 1/2 now) we have no problem with the pee-pee part. the pediatrician says to be patient, but I'm getting frustrated. GOOD LUCK>

yeah definitely give it a go, show him the potty tell him what he can do on there and let him try it out, he might not do anything the first few times he sits on there but when he does give him lots of praise and attention it will feel funny to him to sit with nothing supporting his bum like a chair and nappy does,

yeah it is a perfect time to start potty training him...let him go at his own pace with it and im sure it wont take long. i waited till my daughter told me when she needed the toliet then introduced to her to the potty and let her go on it when she felt ready, she only took a week to be fully potty trained and dry through days and nearly every nite x
