People do not get sick from being in cold weather without wearing tennis shoes or boots. All you get is cold feet. (Unless, of course, you are walking in snow/visiting Antarctica/scaling a snow-capped mountain...then you risk frostbite.) My 3 year old has never insisted on wearing sandals in the cold, but since I tend to wear flip-flops around the house year-round I imagine he will want to very soon. I wear flip-flops out and about occasionally in the winter (again, no snow/sub-zero temps). If he has his heart set on the sandals and his life is not in danger, I say pick your battles wisely and let him wear them. If he's too cold he won't want to wear them again. I am not a very lenient mom in general, but I do the "picking battles" deal from time to time to retain some semblance of sanity.

No, I never let them wear sandals when the weather was bad. I didn't want them to get cold and sick. They wanted to, but I was the adult and did not allow it for those reasons.

this is a matter of opinion and parenting. If it is cold and totally inappropriate for your child to wear sandals, well they shouldnt be wearing them. some children that are inappropriately dressed is because the parents cant be bothered with the whinging and tantrum and the fight they have to have with the child not to wear them, we are the parents and its about time kids learnt to do what they were told.
On the other hand if it is suitable for them to wear them and you just dont like the look of them with their outfit well thats your problem not there.s

what's the deal? it really is the third question I have study what youthful little ones could positioned on on thier ft to a topic park...basically use your elementary experience....no matter if that is a water park...allow them positioned on sandals or shoes that are straightforward to get off...no matter if it isn't a water park, positioned them of their runners...(or operating shoes...or sandshoes...or maybe with the reality that you want to call them)...what's maximum significant is they're comfortable and chance-free shoes!!!
