I like nero, keep in mind tho, its not as much the software as it is the burner you purchase and the media you record on. I.E. make sure you buy a burner that supports all the file formats you need! Some burners dont! Nextly, dont waste money on cheap bargain blanks! I have seen up to 30 percent of these be defective! You are money ahead to buy name brand!

I cannot recommend since i don't tried ROXIO.What u mean is still not clear to me?Your question is BEST CD/DVD Burning software.
One thing u understand is that this softwares just send data to ur WR to perform the task.More importantly the software should support the drive.so i cannot verdict.
I think NERO is compatible with almost all driver available in the market.i don't know abt ROXIO.
And one thing u need to get better result be it NERO or ROXIO or ELSE
Good System config i.e RAM,fast CPU.U cannot compromise on that.
There is no need in blaming the softwares with poor system config.

I have been using Nero and so far it hasnt given me any problems but anyway to be on the safe side read reviews of all the software on www.pcworld.com

I use Roxio Easy Media Creator for CD Burning HOWEVER, DVD's I use DVD Shrink (Free)

Nero is very good for burning CD/DVD's. Very, very easy to use. I've had no troubles with it. You get outstanding quality for your money.
