I believe there is no cure, other than making sure your jaw is properly aligned (like by getting braces) and surgery. I have it & they always tell me I will need surgery when I get older. :-/

Many people get relief with anti inflammatory meds like Motrin, Aleve and the such. TMJ usually caused by over or under bite and can be corrected with oral surgery. Not everyone can benefit from this.

As with anything medical, get with your doctor and try the alternatives such as the medications. Then, get two opinions as to whether surgery is the answer.
