It means they miss you. I don't know what it is about calling at night, but I think night time is a good time to reflect on things. It's a good time to reflect on your day, your life and maybe even your future. Night time also reflects on the time we spend with our lovers. So maybe she got a little lonely and just thought about you and decided to call. Nothing was being said, because I guess she was hoping you would say something she wanted to hear. Maybe she wanted to hear you say you actually missed her. Because her calling you late at night, obviously meant that she missed you too.

Because they are drunk. It is very dangerous to have access to any communication device when you have been drinking. Then when you go home alone, you start to feel lonely and wonder if he was "the one". So you call. As soon as he answers, you have second thoughts so you tell them, hey just wanted to know how you've been doing, hoping against hope that he doesn't mention the fact that there are more appropriate times to make a phone call just to chat. Not that I have ever done it. I'm just guessing. I'm way too cool to drunk dial.

Bacause they are big fat beeacthes that want to try their luck again, and make sure that you aint talking to anyone else at 1am. My advise, dont spend too much time talking to her, she is an ex for a reason - and you dont want her messing up something new for you....because she will. My new guys ex keeps calling and its so off putting especially when i want to talk to him.
Hes gona have to go, so dont make the same mistake.

Excellent question. Mine tend to call late at night and to add bonus points...they are usually drunk! People tend to get lonely when they are laying in bed alone. Maybe that is the reason.

Maybe they are still dreaming about u and when the dream becomes a nightmare then they call you but after listening to your voice they cool down and sleep well.

Either She's trying to mess with your brain or wants to have sex without any committment. Ask her to come over for some really dirty sex. She hangs up and stops bugging you or you get laid.

you may nicely be love him, yet wanting to come again with him in simple terms isn't worth it. do you fairly need to get harm returned? no, no one merits that style of discomfort. attempt to concentration on your single existence, have exciting with your individuals and relatives, and in simple terms attempt to bypass on with your existence.
