Forgot to add details: I already bought earplugs, but they hurt my ears. Plus, I don't hear the alarm going off in the morning and I miss my morning class. His snore wakes me up every 10 minutes. I appreciate your help.

You say your roommates snore really loud, so this means there is not only one but more of your roommates that bother you with their snoring.

First, could you identify the physical status of your roommates? If they are on the heavy or bulkier side, it could be attributed to their size. Fat or obese people are more prone to manifesting bothersome snoring due to problems with their breathing. If this is the case, then you need to tell them that it's causing you sleepless nights already so that they'd be aware that their snore is getting to be troublesome already.

Otherwise, if they are just average or medium built roommates of yours, then perhaps it has something to do with the physical activities they engaged with prior. It is also possible for them to have breathing problems thus the loud snoring. You could also tell them of this matter so that they could have it checked.

Having said that, you can also use earplugs to relieve you of the difficulty you are encountering. You may also want to sleep ahead of them so that by the time they hit the sack, you'd already be under deep sleep, therefore you will no longer be affected by their snoring.

If all else fails, tell your administrator to distribute your roommates to other rooms so that they don't snore at the same time creating a symphony of weird and funny sounds.

You'll never know, you yourself might also be snoring as heavy as them but they don't hear it because they're already weaving dreams earlier than you.

He should get checked for sleep apnea - it is a more serious problem and there are treatments for it, plus he would feel sooo much better if he did have it and it was treated. In the mean time invest in some really good ear plugs. :-)
