The US knows that Iran has had nuclear weapons for a long time. One of the items on the agenda of the UN has removal of nuclear weapsons all over the world. On the Discovery Channel there was a documentary showing during WWII they were testing weapons trajectory and effectiveness. The bottom line with situations like that, the world is in a no win situation.
If anyone can remember in 1991 when the Phillipines a had volcano erupt, we on the west coast of the US had red skys. Filter that visualision in with the factors of bombs and it is a no win situation, people, planet, live.
Look at how the Iran children had to live 24 hrs days with gasmasks on, totally covered. Children are our tomorrow, they deserve to have food, water, clothing, and sun upon their faces and smile, not run and hide for fear of their life.

Having a nuke is a big deterrent. A nuclear power in a stage of desperation can be dangerous for the entire world. So the reaction of the US and the West would be feeble what is there right now. By invoking reactions you are trying to incite/prompt. War does not solve any problems.
But it is a fact an irresponsible nuclear power can weed havoc for the world.

Well this invasion nonsense would go away in a hurry! Bush would have to do a massive 180 and actually treat Iran with respect nothing like nukes to get you all kinds of respect.

If Iran had nukes for 10 years we would have known 10 years ago because they would have turned the Middle East into a wasteland

Well, it depends on how this discovery was made: If it was due to the I striking, then I guess if USA were lucky there would be a counter strike. Woo-ma, beginning of WW3- or maybe the end of its' beginning. If discovered by chance, I guess everyone that has so much to say about how Bush rules will have to swallow their words & would be more patriotic regarding Sept. 11th.

Nothing. They would do nothing but complain, and start another Cold War.
The US cannot afford to expand their wars now. They have to save for unexpected contingency. Bush, Cheney, and their cabal have stretched the imperialistic capability to the furthest rational point. And some would say, beyond.
Any further, and the US and the UK risk triggering their own regime change.

I really don't care anymore if they have nukes or not. If they strike the US we'll flatten the country. If they strike anyone the result will be unhealthy for Iran. Let the Ba$tards all kill each other.

Legally we have enough right to have weapons to be sure of our secure. But because we are not crazy guns like your government
we have never thought of them and we won't. And if we have them sometime ; U.S have no right to do anything against us. If having Nukes is wrong so why U.S and Israel have lots of them?
Why U.S used them against Japan In WW II?
