Yes!

We create our own pain.

Life isn't painful, only our perspective of life is painful!!!!!!!

Life is suffering.
All suffering stems from desire.
Be grateful for what you have, not for what you haven't got!!!!!

Pain is not an emotion! Pain is a physiological mechanism to protect your body from harm. It's no more a learned response than feeling hungry, thirsty, hot or cold.

Pain is automatic as well. Put your hand on a hot stove; do you have to get in touch with your "inner child" or ponder for many minutes why you're feeling such incredible pain? NO! Your sensory nerves are telling your brain that your hand is being damaged and needs to be moved IMMEDIATELY to prevent further harm.

Forget all the other nonsensical hooey these other responders are giving you. 'Life is pain and pain stems from desire'? Whatever!

No, pain is a natural instinct. It's part of the fight or flight instinct--when we find something is painful, that usually means it's a good thing to stay away from. If it weren't instinctive to pull our hands away from a hot stove, we'd have a lot of serious problems.
