please tell me why its not safe

Its unsafe only when u download programs or any zip file or .rar file for songs and videos and well pictures its the best p2p application i know, and by the way after downloading always scan the item!And hey not only limewire all p2p applications are risky if u don't know what u r downloadin..

I have been using limewire since 2004 I haven't had any problems with it. Just make sure you have a good anti virus program and use ad aware se as a cleaner. As with anything there are always the possibilities. Also when you are done downloading make sure you completely close the program including in the task bar as it slows your computer down. Another good thing is to disable the shared files as others can upload programs, music ect that are on your comp to. Good luck and enjoy.

sometimes it is, if you download a file not related to any other file in your computer it sends viruses throughout the computer...in videos there is no security so BAD videos are on the list even if it is not similar to the keywords you put...be careful and look through the file before downloading...
mostly "limewire" is used for music files...just leave it that way so you can be careful...

yes. If you're using a PC, make sure you're virus program is up to date. Otherwise, you could unknowingly download a virus. It happened to me and it took me a while to clean up my PC. I have a MAC now and i haven't run into any problems.
However, if you're thinking legally, possibly. Download music infrequently that way you can't be seen as a "habitual" pirater of music.

yes yes yes !... oh plz dont use it...coz i used it just last month..i was downloading songs in my office comp....and just 3 dayz back...the limewire virus has screwed my comp....

yes as long as u dont download programs they contain viruses only use it for songs and videos

only if you have something to hide on your computer & don't want every hacker & evil little prick out there looking @ everything you have on ur machine, then I guess.

you can download spyware by downloading it i had to delete it and run my virus scanner to find trogans i downloaded ?///
