How original of you! If people of some other culture and religion invaded the U.S. and had more advanced weapons, I bet you'd have some unkind things to say about them. In fact, you have nasty things to say about the victims of our aggression.
That doesn't mean it's right for people outside our culture to criticize how we live. But I'm sure you won't tolerate Americans disagreeing with you either. As for the log in your eye, if you ever get it out you might try reading what Jesus said about judging not, about loving your enemy, and even as they nailed him to the cross, "Father forgive them. They know not what they do."
Now we have to forgive you, because you know not what you do.

I have seen few do this, I see some people obsess over the issue, though it's just plain lame to do so. The smarter people however keep their traps shut, maybe you're just making a mountain out of a molehill.
If people follow stereotypes and news channels blindly try and show them the right way if they don't want to listen it's because they don't to, they choose to foloow this path, usually aware of the hate in the argument.
Be realist get used to the world but try and better it where you can for every grain of rice can affect the balance.

I think, the people of western backgrounds are very liberated,
educated, materialistic and value greatly in personal freedom. Thus, they would choose to do things as they pleased, like wearing skimpy clothes, spent wastefully etc. without a care
in the world.
Obviously, the people of non western background are not used
to such behaviour and they consider it as sinful, wasteful and
arrogance.
Thus, to avoid such an incident, one should take precaution
to prevent them from criticizing, lest the situation may turn ugly.

If we all did this we really could make a change in this world for peace.Pointing the finger, this is what the elders did to the woman thrown at Jesus's feet. She was caught in adultery and in the very act. In my mind they jerked her right out of bed with a man, drug her and threw her at Jesus's feet.I have prayed and received an answer as to what Jesus wrote on the ground the first time he stooped down,it was the 10 commandments, the second time he wrote the names of the men that threw her at his feet next to the commandment that they were sinning in of course it wasn't adultery but what ever it was one by one they all left leaving her alone with Jesus and he said has no man condemned thee, she said no man Lord and he said neither do I condemn thee go and sin no more. This was not sleeping with a man that was her sin it was not acknowledging the Lord in all her ways, because that is the SIN OF THE WORLD.

i find that note on Muslims offensive. it's against Islamic belief to have any form of prostitution so that's why they'll object to it. it's no different than the belief of Jews or any Christian that fully follows the Bible.
i'm American, born and raised here, and i see how what you're asking about applies to this region. what's not to get? if you look at the amount of charity given by the average person (by %age of their total wealth/income, not by total amount given), and how much emphasis is put on money, you should understand why the claims are made. i mean seriously, when you're preaching a capitalistic society, don't you at least THINK money's going to play a big roll?

You must try to accept that every nation has fanatics that write and preach a whole bunch of untrue shet.... and at the same time every nation has good people too.... it's just that the fanatics scream much louder and push much harder than the good folks do.
So don't get angry at the whole nation because of a few dummies.
Peace.

Yes, but what do we Westerners do? We stereotype anyone who is unlike us as uncivilized... And I'm just generalizing here, as are you. Not all "Westerners" think other peoples' way of life is wrong and not everyone in the world who isn't a "Westerner" views them the way you suppose.

Yes I agree with you totally...I think there is too much hypocrisy, ignorance and intolerance on both sides of this game. If we could only end that and learn to reconcile then maybe we can end this damn war early.
To Blackman...what makes killing people for God better than killing people for money? To me anyways killing for God is worse because whereas money has no moral backing God does, and it makes that killing for God more justifiable ergo unstoppable. And being non-materialistic is useless if it equals intolerance and hate on anything else.

i agree, but most of them were bought up to believe this way. we are taught to get an education then a profession than a spouse and then raise a family, some of us have some sort of religion instilled within us too. some of us religion is the focus like theirs and all other things fall behind. i guess we can assume that it is the way we are brought up, individually that inspires and directs our perspectives as long as we all have free will to do so, there will come hand and hand the band wagon of critics, please forgive them, whomever they are, for they are but the little people. be the big one and accept even them as your neighbor, or , learn to live with them, let them learn in their process. our duty is to do the best with what tools have been given us to establish our lives in peace with man kind, have a good day...
