Because God is God, and he gave his only begotten son, who was born of a virgin. Jesus had no sin and was God w/us. God is not a man who once lived on earth and then dead. God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent God can do everything that we can not do Acts 17:23 can give more detail.

You have a very good question here. I will answer it in accordance with the faith I have acquired in my life time. I thought well before I answered your question, then I came to one conclusion; the only sign(you said one sign not more) that God gave us to know He is our God is the power of the Holy Spirit in us. The Power of His spirit teaches us the absolute truth and leads us to Christ who is our Lord and Savior and to God the Father because the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son. This is the best I can come up with.

Hope, Love, Life it self .. dont believe in scientifical myths these scientist tell you, because you will see in a couple of years they will come up with new myths for you to believe. But some Religions like Judisim Christianity and Islam, have told us for thousands of years that there is one god, he all mighty has created the world, and he is the creater and not the created. and if you want to search for signs, they are very clear, and you can find them , or i can help you find them in the holy Quran. look at this website below.

Anyone can claim to be God, but What evidence is there to support their claim? The answer is clear: None. But Jesus Christ was different, and the reason is because He not only claimed to be God, but His whole life was a witness to its truth. Because of that, He alone could truthfully say, "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30).

What evidence is there for Jesus' divinity? The first is that of His sinless life—something only God could do. The Bible says Jesus was "tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin" (Hebrews 4:15). Then there is the evidence of His miracles—miracles that demonstrated the power of God.

But the final proof of Jesus' divine nature was His resurrection from the dead. Anyone could claim to be the Son of God, but only Christ proved it by coming back from the grave—an event witnessed by hundreds. Who was Jesus Christ? He was God in human flesh—and He came into this world for one reason: to save us from our sins. Why not open your heart to Him today?

The Holy Bible is God's revelation of Himself to us.

Jesus, His life and His death and His resurrection, serves as God's desire to reconcile us to Him.

You only have to look to find.
