Yesterday, waiting at a cash machine the woman in front of me put her card in and took it out at LEAST 8 times in arow. I was listening to my music at the time and muttered under my breath 'thick bitc h'. Or I thought I whispered it. Apparently not. She turned round and gave me a proper slap in the face. I was NOT a happy bunny.

I really didn't mean for her to hear. You know what it's like when you have headphones on, you can't tell how loud you are. But come on, 8 times? 5 minutes? You can't tell me that isn't borderline fatal stupidity. If she had any courtesy she'd have let the SEVEN people behind her have a go.

Broken Soul - I DID mean to say thick bitc h, I just didn't intend her to hear it.

After the slap I turned round embarrassed and walked to another cash machine. What else? Knee her in the face and kick her while she's down? I ain't a fighter, especially not with women.

I understand wholeheartedly your frustration with this ignorant ******.

I get especially annoyed when I have to queue longer than neccessary at supermarket checkouts because the moronic old cow in front waits until the last possible moment to dig into the bottomless pit she calls a handbag for her purse when, instead of standing there doing nothing ,she could have found it while her bags were being packed and had it ready. Then inevitably she doesn't pay by cash, but by card or much worse cheque and then after she's asked the cashier to repeat the payment and writes the cheque she has to go back in her handbag to find the cheque guarantee card. Then the cashier has to write the details on the back and so on...........like we've all the time in the world.

Point her out Bill, I'll give her a smack for you.

Hello!! :o) I appreciate what you're saying - but I don't think that taking offense to being called a 'thick bitc h' is a sign that people are overly sensitive. I mean - if you called ME a 'thick bitc h' - I'd probably punch you in the nose!! lol Well... probably. Then again... maybe not. Maybe I'd just start to cry!! lol I'm curious. What happened AFTER the slap?! Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

Well you mutter "Thick Bit ch " under breath and the women thought that you were calling her a thick bit ch..... So even though the women made a mistake u can understand how she reacted. I mean imagine for example if you were in front of the cash machine and had the same problem, so one behind you was listnening to music and muttered under their breath... "Stupid F**king Jerk" not to you just muttering the lyrics of the song... How would you react?? hmmm?

So in the end your BOTH in the wrong.

And you didn't ran after her and followed her home?
You really don't know a thing about different cultures do you.
In the culture she clearly was from, "thick bitc h" means : "You are a gorgeous woman and I hope you don't mind me asking this, but I really want to shag you"
If she didn't want to have sex, she would have kissed you and bitten your tongue.
But she did want to have sex, as her response was slapping you.
Man, you could've had the experience of a life time!

Next time, keep in mind the women from that culture kill their men after sex. So when you're done: get up and run.

nightmare done it myself, She was a thick *****, do they have no consideration for others, if there is a Q step aside and let the people who need money and can use a cash machine have there turn, I would not have put up with the slap, would have blocked her and told her to re consider and to step aside, but I am a trained in martial arts and used to be a bouncer.

First of all Bill, let me congratulate you on the restraint you showed in not kicking her to the ground. What a gentleman!

The only thing you can do in a situation like this is to say (really loudly), 'I'M SORRY IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, BUT I CAN'T KEEP SEEING YOU IF YOU'RE ACCOUNT'S ALWAYS OVERDRAWN! I'M NOT GIVING YOU ANY MORE MONEY, & THAT'S THAT!'

Then wink at her and walk away slowly. Humming.

Sometimes you have to take it like a man. One of the perils of listening to music and thinking at the same time. Can you do that pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time thing?

If you wearing headphones your whispering can be loud enough for people to hear, instead you could have help her to insert the card..

She was wrong to slap you (in America, you could've had her arrested for simple assault), and you were simply rude to utter audibly what you were thinking. Next time, keep private thoughts just that -- private.
