46 years? Maybe he's thinking about his bank account, on account of the gold-digging antics of late!

Couple of things that you left out that are very important. How old are you? My sister and her husband got together when they were 17 and got have only just got married after being together for 8 years. If this is the same with you he may just feel that you are too young.

Also he probably just hasn't thought about it, he is a man and they like their comfort zones. Try saying that you would like to get married one day, but do not specifically mention marrying him, and then see what his response is. If it is not what you wanted to here then you may not be right for each other.

Nothing wrong with that, I've been going with my girl friend for over 9 years,we have been living together for about 7 years, we're both busy with our day to day lives , marriage is just a piece of paper these days anyway, what really matters is that we still enjoy each others company,we would probably marry if there were kids, but only cause it would be better for the child to be brought up in a traditional family environment.

It is really very surprising and matter of concern , you must foot down now , right now to go ahead for permanent relation or forget about this whole episode .Act now or never . If you both has a good stable career and can look after your self , then what is the hesitation.

then darling make ur thoughts known, if you've been together with someone for so long there should be a point to it and while marriage is not the ultimate goal there should at least be some sort of direction. if not, its time to serve somebody their walking papers and tell him to step and give room for better opportunities.

i didnt know there was a specific time limit on when you should be married by for being so long together for.
I wouldnt worry, if its meant to be it will be, but dont go basing it on how many years you should/shouldnt be together for before you get married.

Then its time for you to ask what his intentions are baby! After 6 years of being together, whether you ask or he does, does not matter you see! Go on ask and find out - that is if you want to marry him.
