I'm sure different world religions invision Him in different ways, and I'm interested in how you see Him.

Towards the faithful :
Light, purity, love, comfort, righteous, holy, awe-inspiring, fearsome (not in the sense of being terrifying, but rather, having such a commanding presence, you cannot help but feel internally compelled to give Him His due respect... akin to the way a child fears his parents: the child loves them greatly but does not want to see them upset because of his actions), merciful yet just, compassionate, and fatherly (as in, correcting us when we do wrong, rewarding us when we do right).

Towards the unrighteous :
Blinding light, anger, wrathful, righteously destructive, confusing, terrifying, an object of hate, seemingly merciless (that is, they cry out for mercy, yet there is none, because either they're not actually asking *Him* for mercy or it's after "the point of no return" [ie after having received the mark of the beast, or while in Hell]), seemingly arbitrary, and consuming.

"Physical" description :
IMHO... Light embodied... the shape of a man, yet shapeless, radiating light before and after Him... blinding, yet soothing at the same time.

I saw the post about "how he created us in his image" Sorry but God I hope when we get there he isn't just some lame old man like that. I mean He, She, It is a GOD!!! Should be bigger, more powerful and have a body or image to match!

I would like to think of our God as being of energy, being able to take different forms, shapes, etc.. Not the just old man with a white beard and a cane.

Who knows maybe as in movies God would appear differently to each of us and could be the reason why we have so many religions and wars because we each think we have our "own" God when we really were all created by the same being.

God is much like us with consciousness, with material body and with spirit and with an addition of all permeating. We are exactly made in His image( with material body, with spirit and with consciousness). But God's material body is invisible like, in analogy, some of the unseen light waves because His material body operates on higher vibrations. Jesus Resurrection and bringing that body to the higher plane gives us implicit proof God has a material body. So the mental picture of God? He is just like us albeit a more finesse way of blending both material and spiritual energies

As a force of Spirit that has all light and total love and understanding. One drop of power of his spirit would wipe out this world.Compassion so deep that even the vilest of people can changed into a saint.A spirit that longs for love and a true family relationship from his creation.
