My ritual is burnt toast, a multi-vitamin and lots of water before bed.
Here's why:
The carbon from the burnt outside acts as a filter to help sweep away toxins. (They use the same idea for victims of alcohol poisoning in the emergency room, except those people get a much more potent carbon mixture pumped into their stomachs.)
The bread helps to absorb some of the alcohol.
The multi-vitamin helps replenish vitamins A, B6, C, potassium, and others which are lost during alcohol metabolism.
The large quantity of water, necessary to down the vitamin and get the burnt taste out of your mouth anyway, helps with the dehydration.
You actually fight the three major causes of a hangover with this: acetaldehyde (the toxic by-product of alcohol metabolism), dehydration and nutrient depletion.
Cheers!

Fried Food isn't any good for a Hangover.
The best remedy is a Raw Egg beaten and then pour in half a Pint of Milk with a touch of Worcestershire Sauce .
Drink the whole lot down in one.
You will be feeling a bit more Human within 15 minutes.
If you don't like Raw Egg or Milk, drink loads of Water, about 4 glasses, your Dehydrated and need to get your levels up.
Don't Do it AGAIN?? nobody will feel sorry for you as it's been self inflicted

fried egg sandwich sounds great -I'm hungry now too! You can't beat fried food for a hangover -if you're going to damage your liver, may as well go the whole hog and clog up your arteries as well! Once in a while won't hurt though, and the endorphins released in your brain may even be beneficial (I have no scientific basis for this opinion). Enjoy your breakfast!

First of all, a tall glass of semi-skimmed milk makes me feel MUCH better. Or a glass of coke, but only if it's from a draught and has ice (i dont know why).
Chinese food- noodles, not rice- works wonder on a hungover tummy.
Avocados are good. Healthy but feels stodgy.
Ice cream (plain flavour, no chunks of anything) or a milk shake!
And don't go anywhere near caffeine or cigarettes or you'll be back where you started.

Flat coke, for the caffeine without the fizz. a greasy spoon brekkie to soak up all the excess alcohol and a few cups of sweet tea. If all else fails have a hair of the dog. Gotta be what you were drinking the night before though.

eggs are always the best along with lots of stodgy white bread. Anything too salty or spicey the morning after is a big no-no.
