You can partion your hardware in the half then put you Windows Xp in the one of the two and the RedHat to the other.

The partition size depends on you. For example if you have 20 GB hard disk, you can allocate 10 for XP and 10 for RedHat. But make sure you install Windows XP FIRST and then RedHat! Reason is, the Windows will completely override the boot sector if you install it after the RedHat. But RedHat will not do something like that.
