When I walk past people in the street (those who have something lit) the smell is strong and it just seems to have a 'certain smell' about it. Am I right or not that what is being smoked is drugs? I'm very naive in the ways of the world and would like to know.

I'd say its Cannabis. Town centres are full of people smoking it lately. If it looks like a home rolled cigarette maybe longer than a normal cigarette its most likely to be pot.

Cannabis products have a specific acidy scent. If you've smelled it once you'll recognise it every time.

ye it could be pot, but some cigarettes and especially cigars have a very strong smell.
