Actually my friend ask me make an English name for her little daughter. you know there are not many people who have English name in China.Cause the little girl's first name is LUO,so I think Lucia is a good name.Could you give me some advice,thank you so much!!!

Lucia is very nice... There is an Italian sing called "Santa Lucia..."
If her name is LUO, you could also call her LOU, or Louise like me.....lol..., But Louise is a French name....,although Americans
also have a state called Louisiana... which was originally property of France, but was bought by Americans a long time ago....

I think that Lucia is of Latin origin and it means Light, its a nice name! We have a nice tradition in Slovakia on Lucia´s day (Dec 13) its thought to be a scary day but than Lucias come and make it bright!

sure! Lucia can surely be a name for a little girl (all the "big" Lucias were once little girls....), u can call her Lucy if u want- sounds more childly
